新年快樂! Day 4 of Chinese New Year

On the last day of our delightful little trip to 花蓮 (Hualien), we visited a beautiful little spot called Carp Lake. We took a stroll in the rain around the perimeter of the lake, and then hopped in a cute little boat. We had lots of fun saying hello to the Taiwanese as we pedaled our way around the lake. And then we had a fabulous train ride home...all good things must come to an end. But the beautiful memories will live on forever!

PS. Remember those sweet new friends from church we had hung out with two days before? They came to the train station to say good-bye to us. My jaw nearly dropped to the floor when I saw them. (Actually, I think it did drop to the floor.) I was like, "Are you taking a train somewhere?" And they said, "No, we're here to say good-bye and wish you safe travels home." We had just met them a few days previous, and then we had hung out with them once, and they went out of their way, once again, to come to the train station to wish us a safe trip home. I'm telling you, there's something about the Taiwanese... Something pretty special.

I'm all caught up on Chinese New Year! Now for the other three months. :)
