新年快樂! Day 2 of Chinese New Year

On the second day of Chinese New Year, families go back to their mother's family's home. Tradition says that the family would become poor if they went to see that side of the family on the first day of Chinese New Year. Each daughter brings gifts for her parents. She also brings red envelopes (containing money) for her nieces and nephews. (It is tradition to come bearing gifts whenever you visit friends/family during Chinese New Year.) The family eats a big lunch together, and then they sit and chat until late afternoon.
